Maybe we should all go after Gm for a recall
You can get a new cluster at a wreckers fairly reasonable and they are very easy to change in these cars. In my location I sell for $80.00 and will install for $80.00 more.
If they don't work the wrecker will usually let you return but they work 95% ofthe time.

i had the same problem now it doesnt work at all. it is stuck right by the milage gauge.
I have a 2004 Cavalier. The speedometer started malfunctioning about 6 months ago. I have an extended warranty..but guess what?...it doesn't cover gauges! I have been to other websites and have seen other people with the same problem....LOTS of them. I was wondering if anyone knew of a recall for this? Seems like it should definitely be recalled. I was quoted over $600 to fix it! Thats crazy.
inside instrument panel gages are not working on my 2004 calivier
i have the same problem wit my cavalier the only thing to do that i have been doin is bearly startin the car and do that until the gauges go down. i think its because of the cold or something. recall is definite in need
I have the same problem. Was told by a chevy dealer that I have to replace the whole cluster
Mine started out like that but now it totall doesn't work along with my oil gague and my tacometer. My 2004 Cavilier has 100,000 miles and no warrenty. The problem has been noticied on several 2004 Chevy models.
I have the same issue...started with my tachometer and then spread to everything else....
All my gauges are off now on my 2004 Chevy Cavalier. Only 27,000 miles.
