easiest way withoout a scanner is
verify that all wire connectors to back of sensors are not noticable damage, if so repair
if no damage, buy one sensor and trial each one with known good one til light is functioning properly.
very common for sensors to fail, so if want to fix you will need to buy one and all are the same so you can inner change
otherwise you will need scanned to determine which sensor is faulty
If you backup lights are not working as well, I would say check the fuse for the backup lights, if the fuse is good, see if you are getting power to that fuse. We had this problem and after weeks of searching and changing sensors, we found the backup light fuse was good, but not getting power. Ran a wire from that fuse to the cig. lighter fuse and all woprksf great.
using a mechanics stethoscope..you can listen to the sensors...listen for the weakest sensor and replace it...the sensors make a faint ticking noise when listened to..the faulty sensor will be noticeably different sounding than others...of course the key need to be in on position and in revers (be careful not to run you self over!)
