To stop this from leaking you will need to take a drill bit & clean out the factory located drain hole as well as taking some RTV or Silicon type sealant & reseal the bottom of the A/C Heater Core box where it comes down to a circle at the lowest point of the plastic box.

Condensation water from air conditioner soaking front and rear passenger carpets. Where is drain located?

98 grand cherokee limited 5.2L same problem found leak not from heater box but from drain mount on firewall under the glove box not behind it. drain line should be located behind right front tire in the frame. Turn your wheels hard left look inside fender well right side towards back side. hole in frame where drain line should come out.

1999 grand jeep cherokee limited air con prob water coming out vent behind driver seat and water drops noted under glove box front passenger side ???? what to do air con recently regased works well but...

You have a leak in your air conditioning compressor Your system works on the reheat principle All air passing through the system is cooled and reheated before it enters the cabin this sould be dehumidified air but it passes through the heater core and sence the air is not dehumidified you are getting condansation as the air flows the heater core that is heated by the engine heat and the water is from condencation because of the leak in the ac compressor The unit is a press fit in the center of it and fials unfortinatly a lot with this disgien of compressor

I have a 99 jeep grand cherokee with water flowing from a what looks like a drain from the heater core area. the floor isnt wet and the heater works could the heat core have a crack

Is water coming out or is it antifreeze? If its antifreeze you have a heater core leaking. If its water than it's normal. The air conditioner is also a dehumidifier, and that is where the condensation comes out.

I have a 1996 Grand Cherokee and when I run my

We had the exact same problem with our grand cherokkee. The drain goes through the firewall, under the carpet, behind the glove box and comes out inside the frame on the passenger side. It's virtually impossible to get to.
There is a way to fix the problem. You can get a repair kit from your dealer. You have to pull back the carpet, which mean taking the interior side wall and the door threshold off. You then have to drill a hole in the vent housing, then using a small parts grabber reach in and pull out the debris that has built up, next you let the system drain (a small flexable bucket help for catching the water that comes in), then install the supplied plug. If my memory serves me right the kit came with fairly good instructions.

My 1996 jeep grand cherokee smell anifreez incar here water going back and worth but se no leak but have to re fill water once a weak.cant find leak under dash . but here water go back and forth wile...

the water sound i believe is from being low in antifreeze..if you are adding water oncce a week then there is a leak.. try looking on the inside of the car on the passenger side carpet to see if its wet..if not, then check things under the hood such as, heater hoses for heater core, water pump, thermostat housing, radiator, core plugs, block heater..if the smell is coming from the inside and there is a film on the window, then chances are you need a heater core....try that.

A/c is on and passenger front floor boared is flooded

It can be the heater core leaking or it could be the A/C condensation line is clogged up.More than likely it's the heater core if it is a large puddle of water though.

Air conditioner leaks (drains)into the front passenger seat floor mat

The a/c drain tube will be located on the firewall. It will be on the passenger side twards the bottom of the firewall. It will be about 3/8 inch in diameter, and about 1-2 inches long sticking out of the firewall. You will probably need to get under the vehicle to gain acess.
