If you have the rheostat that dims the dash lights turned up and the fuse checks ok and still no lights then that is the problem, replace the dimmer control switch.

Insturment panel is not working

An instrument cluster is the collection of gauges, dials and lights right above the steering wheel that tell you what's going on in your vehicle.
Generally, your car's instrument cluster will last the lifetime of the car and you'll never have a problem with any of them. However, when one of them fail, you'll have a problem that ranges from mildly annoying (the engine lights up and doesn't turn off) to inconvenient (the gas gauge doesn't register) to dangerous (the oil indicator doesn't work). Some of the more common failures include:
  • Erratic or non-functional gauges & inaccurate readings.
  • LCD not Stuck or fluttering needles on gauges
  • Burned out indicator lights
  • Burned out/dark spot backlighting
  • Loss of LCD display or erratic operation (number 8 showing as 0

The red arms on the gauges do not light up on a 2004 saturn l300

All of the instrument cluster functions are handled inside of the cluster. So for just the gauge needles not lighting up, you will need a replacement instrument cluster.

Hi I have a 2000 ford crown Victoria and my dash board light where my mileage and gas needle is at does not come on when I turn the switch on but all the other lights that are suppose to come on with the...

There are bulbs in the instrument cluster and they are probably bad. You will have to take the instrument cluster out of the dash and take each bulb out individually to see which one is bad then replace it/them and reinstall the instrument cluster back in the dash. It sounds a lot harder than it really is.

Changed alternator, now fuel gage needle is stuck

this happened because an electriacl surge. two ways to fix this.
1. remove the instrument cluster, then remove the clear lense, once the lense is removed you can use you finger to gently rotate the needles back into proper position. this sometimes works, if not
2. you'll need to send the instrument cluster in your local General Motors dealership and have them get a "advance exchange" instrument cluster. this is very expensive and you won't be able to drive the car until the cluster is back in the car.
I hope this helps.

My check gage light is on what do i do help!!!!!!!!!!

A "check gage light" typically indicates a faulty reading on one of the gages located on your instrument cluster. After starting your vehicle, observe your instrument cluster if one of the indicator needles on the instrument cluster remains all the way to the left or "pegs" out all the way to the right, it may be the cause of your fault. The exception is the coolant temperature gage it will take 10 to 15 minutes after which the needle should rise to a normal position. Correcting the "faulty gage light" will depend on which gage is malfunctioning. Once you have figured out which gage is causing the check gage light to illuminate, then we can proceed to correcting the problem causing it.
