Question about 1995 Toyota Camry

1 Answer

A/c problem HELP!!!! I have just bought a 1995 Toyota Camry LE.... The car runs well..but all of a sudden I the A/c is not working and noticed the the A/C button keeps blinking..... Don't want to take it to a Toyota dealership because I have had bad experiences where dealerships try to rip you off in a heartbeat...telling you "you need this..and that replaced....(personal experience with another car, they prey on older women) Hope this is not an expensive or serious problemm!!! I live in Florida and can't afford a major repair because my income ( I do have a job) barely sustains me... I know you can't give a definite answer...but any possible causes or possible remedies would be greatly appreciated...since I live in Fla and an older person.

I never suggest taking it to dealerships(I'm a mechanic and trust me I know how much they charge just to lift the hood) there could be several resaons for this problem. however the most expedient way is to take it to a small shop. this is a a/c problem and you need guages to check pressure with in the system. the light could be flashing because your system is under pressure. it could also be because your climate control module detected a fault within the system and shut the a/c down. it could be that the a/c clutch relay is weak or bad and shut the compressor down. start with the relay, it is located inside the junction box under the hood. with the vehicle running and the a/c switch on max take the relay(your owners manual will tell which one) and switch it with the blower motor relay for your heat. if the a/c clutch kicks in this means the relay was bad. if there was no change you will have to take it to a shop because it will have to do with wether your system is under charged or there could be a blockage in the system or it could be a more severe electrical problem. my siggestion is if you have to take it to a shop make sure you ask lots of questions and have someone with you(this keeps them from being over zealous and preying on you because you are a woman. if they don't answer your questions with detail take it somewhere else.. good luck and please rate this......thanks

The spring that returns the throttle is getting weak. Best thing to do is clean the throttle inside and out. Clean the throttle plate front and back and as for as you reach inside, use an old tooth brush and brake clean. Once clean lube the spring area. This should help. But if it still sticks , I would be looking at the throttle cable.

Lots of black corbon on plugs.this is camry 1995 le 4cy.please help.

hi black carbon on the plugs is a sign your engine is running rich for some reason perhaps the air filter is blocked and needs replacing or if its looking clean the coolant temperature sensor isnt working it may have stopped working if the coolant level has dropped so check thats ok as well before replacing the sensor as it wont work properly if its not in water good luck

1995 Toyota Camry LE. No power windows operate

the fuse switch is merely a fuse in your fuse panel ,,however many issues regarding this is between the door jamb in the plastic boot the wires over time become worn from all the opening and closing of the door if you remove the switch itself and use of a test light will ensure proper diagnosis is there power to the switch if so then it may very well be the switch itself

1995 Toyota camry Le 4C Missing Problem -

i have came across simler problems in the past so im going to give you a list of four main suspects number 1; a broken or pereshed vacuum hose at the trottle body or inlet manifold.2 a blocked injector 3 a fuel injection system fault 4 a disconnected /leaking or perished crankcase ventilation hose. Before you try any of these by a can of fuel cleaner and run it through your system remember a small piece of dirt half the size of grain of salt is enough to cause this problem good luck.adrian
