Maybe ur intake is too dirty, remove the air inlet hose that comes from the air filter to the intake. Insert a finger in there and check to see if its black and oily, if so, clean ur intake with intake cleaner can. Also ur MASS AIR FLOW could be defective in which case ur CHECK ENGINE light would be lit in the dash console.

You can loosen the distributer hold down clamp. get a timing light run the engine and check your timing marks let the vehicle run for a while and check timing marks again if they changed it's because either you egr valve is sticking open or closed or you have a vaccum leak. look for holes in the vaccum lines on the intake. if you have a throttle body your Tps sensor is most likely defective and needs replacing. you can turn the distributor to make sure your timing is 6 degress before TDC then tighten clamp(this is only done on carburator or TBI fuel systems)..please rate this thanks

When cold car idles, when warm it starts to jerk and won't idle ?

Hi, Billy. There are a few things that could cause the problem that you have described. A cracked ignition coil can cause these kinds of problems as well as a faulty O2 sensor. If the engine is running well when cold, no miss or stumble, then more than likely the coolant temperature sensor or (ECT) is faulty. You can check this by unplugging the sensor and trying to start the engine. If the ECT is the problem the engine will start and run normally. If the problem is still there then check Idle Air Control (IAC) valve.

Heater is not works perfectly and missing idle speed

Too long to warm up: Replace the thermostat.

Misfire when warm: Replace plugs and wires.

This should help your issue out greatly.

A FixYa rating would really be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

1993 TOYOTA PICKUP (V6) TEMPERATURE PROBLEM

the trans will not allow overdrive until coolant reaches roughly 180 degrees, if the guage shows cool and the trans is not upshifting, or downshifts to third while driving. the problem is either a sticking (or missing) thermostat. follow the lower radiator hose to the engine and find the three 12mm nuts, remove these to get to it. a new toyota t-stat will have a little bleed valve on its face. position it upwards when installing. hope this is helpful.
P.S. Happy New Year

Make sure you don't have a faulty fuel injector, this may be the cause, also use a can of carb spray and spray around the intake gasket to check for leaks, if one is present you will notice a diff in the engine sound when the spray hits it.
