Question about 1998 Honda Accord
In the last two weeks, on two different occasions, i go to start my car and it begins to turn over but never fully kicks off. The next day I am able to start it up with no problems. I have taken it to Honda and a local mechanic and neither can find a problem. I don't want to fix something that might not be broken, but i also don't want a car that is unreliable and could leave me stranded. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
Oleroy is correct the was a problem honda has with basically all there cars, your problem is the main relay. Had the same problem with my 93' civic, my 92' accord, my 96' accord and with 98' accord.

If it happens primarily in hot weather (i.e. inner temp of car is over 100 degrees after returning when parked), I'd definitely replace the main relay located under the dash on the driver's side (waaaay up under the dash). It's a $55 part from Honda that plugs directly in to the existing harness. Unplug the old, plug in the new. I'd bet a paycheck that this would fix your problem (if it mainly happens in hot weather).
