Question about 2005 Pontiac Sunfire

Car beeps when it reaches over 70 mph

My friend has a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire and recently we were on a long roadtrip. The car will continuously beep out of the driver's side speaker when it reaches over 70 mph. Surely there must be a way to disable this safety feature. She no longer has her user's manual and I was unable to locate one for her online. Please help! Thanks!

My friend has the same problem. She said it was when she goes over 75, but maybe it was 70. She also said it didn't do it, but she says she pressed a switch or somehow enabled it and not sure how to turn it off, if there is such a way. Thanks.

Might not be a safety feature, it may be shorted or crossed wires.

Bmw beeps at 42 mph

That's most likely your speed warning. If you have iDrive, go to Nav > Car Data > Limits and then you can set/remove the warning beep.

Hi. I think I may need a new battery for my 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. What size battery does it take? I've been checking online, but I need to know the "group size."

Your 2005 Pontiac Sunfire battery group number is 75.

Check the Part Numbers of these batteries for your car - they all begin with "75."

Three batteries that fit your car are found at:
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/2005-Pontiac-Sunfire/Battery/_/N-jmqtpZacy27

The "Group Number" refers to the dimensions of the battery - at battery that's too big wouldn't fit into
the battery compartment of the car.

Beeping noise - 2005 Mustang

You know, I have a 2005 Mustang GT that honks randomly. MAKE SURE you troubleshoot it now. I waited and now my alternator is fried. About 95% of voltage disturbances can be contributed to the alternator, and from what I understand the alternators on our cars are notorious for crapping out. -Amanda
