Question about 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Truck
I was driving my 2004 diesel p/u and all of a sudden it lose power and cut off,it did start back up but it did it again. I do smell a little bit of a diesel smell...60K miles. may be fuel filter!!!
Hi. I had the same problem on my 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins. I went to the dealer and they did a bunch of diagnostics and they replaced my fuel pump. At the same time they put in a retrofit kit that moved the fuel pump to the inside of the gas tank. I have not had the problem since. The cost was about $1,200, but my 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty covered it and I had to pay the $100 deductible.
