Odds are that hitting a speed bump did not do any harm to your engine. I would be looking more at the suspension. Need more info to help diagnose. Does it make noise at certain times.. speeds.. and where does the sound appear to be coming from? Do you have a check engine light on? Please send more info and I will be glad to help.

Is there a standard transmission i could put in a 4.6 litre car that now has a automatic transmission in it

The answer is yes, any 5-speed from a 94-04 Mustang (4.6 or 3.8 doesn't matter, it's the same transmission). You'll also need the pedal assembly, shifter assembly, ecu from a 5-speed, 5-speed drive shaft, clutch and clutch cable, and flywheel.
BUT, If u didn't know all that already... let alone the yes or no answer to ur question, I wouldn't advise doing an over

Bought 2011 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 only 150+ miles on it. I believe the car came out close to a year ago with that many test drive miles. Therefore, it has been on the dealer lot quite a while through...

Hmmm is right...something sounds fishy to me. Maybe that is why it has sat unsold for so long.
I would suspect a defective ABS controller, which are not cheap. Hard to imagine they knowingly sold it like that...
Regardless, it is still a NEW vehicle & has a new vehicle warranty....the choice is yours.

I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. There is a "violent" vibration that occurs only when you are going 40-60 MPH and you hit a bump or pot hole on the highway. The front end begins to...

Vibration from about 40-60 mph is usually attributed to wheel balancing, but the onset when you hit a bump seems to indicate play in the steering linkages (tie rods etc) or suspension members and stabiliser bar rubbers but you had that all checked out, that brings us back to the wheel balancing.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Most vehicle manufactures want the fuel filter changed every 20 to 40 thousand miles and I'm guessing yours is from the assembly line. :) It could also be you injectors a little dirty and with low pressure it is dribbling rather than injecting.

98 mustang GT transmission locked in reverse

This could be a linkage problem. I am not familiar with this transmission, does the shifter go directly into the top of the tranny? If not make sure the linkage is not hanging up somewhere. I'll help if I can. Thanks..................DB.

Solution for cars Exhaust hitting road bumps

It sounds like your springs and or struts are well worn out from probably about 12 years of holding up the weight of the car and its passengers. The added weight of the second person is pulling the car down that much more now that the suspension has worn out. I'm not familiar with a Punto but I bet its a small car, the smaller the car the smaller the suspension (unless its a Porshe) and they usually last about 50,000 to 70,000 miles before you start to notice a "soft" suspension, swaying in turns and bit of role as you take turns hard. Hope it helps.
