Question about 2004 Nissan Sentra

2004 nissan sentra 1.8s misfires

My car just turned 52,000 miles. It misfires badly the first thing in the morning. The problem sometimes goes away in about 10 seconds of driving, sometimes does not go away, sometimes reappears during driving, sometimes runs very heavy not picking up speed. The service required message shows up. Any suggestion is appreciated.

97 Nissan Sentra runs good for 2 miles then stall wont start back up for about an hourcould it be a bad MAF sensor

How many miles on the car?

Most in-line fuel filters are good for about 100 miles.

Then, crud buildup blocks fuel passage, causing the car to stall.

Tbe,, after fuel presure drops off,the crud falls away & the car will start/run.

Repeat same,until you get crazy.

Replace the cilter,problem goes away.

God luck.

2002 Nissa Sentra 1.8l Starts fine but when

How many miles on it? I had to replace my engine at 220,000. When is the last time you had a tune up? Could be a couple of things. You might get more ideas on a Nissan forum.

2009 nissan sentra using 1 qt of oil a week and computer says only misfire cylinder 3 what gives?

Take it to the dealership if it's under 60k miles. If it's sucking oil, then it sounds like you might have a bad head gasket, which is covered under the warranty. There's been a lot of hinky issues with the 2009 Sentra and #3 cylinder misfires, but apparently they don't want to do a recall on them. It's almost as if they're betting on the problem developing after the warranty expires.

2004 nissan senta is having trouble when i start it it struggles to idle and will shut off. when i give it gas it just coughs and wont increase rpm my mechanic could not figure it out any suggestions?

my 2003 sentra does the same thing and I have come to learn from other sentra drivers that its just something the sentra does. I have noticed that it will crank right away if you have the air/heat off and you press the break when cranking. Sometimes it even helps to continualsy pump the break to make sure it stay cranked.

2000 Nissan Sentra 1.8L. High mileage (330,000 plus miles). May take 5min or longer to start cold- acts like it's not firing one or more cylinders. Once it starts there's a big cloud like it was flooded....

Sounds like either it has a bad valve, or worn rings. With the mileage, I would suspect it's just plain getting worn out, when the engine warms up it internal tolerances are better then cold.

Their is a recall for your car for this problem have car towed to dealership and they have to replace it for free, because it is a recall. the recall was a while ago hope they could still fix it! http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/2004-nissan-sentra-c20820.html

Oil consumption, rattle, engine noise

Check under the hood and inspect the valve cover gasket. If it's bad it would explain why you don't see any leaks on the ground because it's probably burning off on the manifold. This ticking you're hearing is a lack of lubrication to the rocker arms. Apart from the valve cover gasket, you should get under the car and inspect the oil pan and oil filter for seepage. Best of luck on your problem.
