same problem as previous post. i suspect the fuel pump is bad, but i can not find solid pixs of the pump location. i have found a replacement pump but it looks different than what i think is the pump.

Bleed the system. basically what i would suggest is putting at least 10 litres in tank (so pick up can get it). then turn key to 'on' position and wait to hear fuel pump cut out. turn key on and off 2 or 3 times then try and start it. please let me know if this works. if not i'll tell you how to check next step.

Zero turn RZ 4621 2012 ran out of petrol stopped put petrol in now won't start dead is there a reset switch etc? if so were

you ran out of petrol when using it
the normal thing is to get off it and refuel
so with it not starting check that you have reactivated all the safety switches by
applying the brake
sat in the seat
disengaged the drive and cutters
all that you have to do when initially starting the machine
there will be no reset button for running out of fuel

My toyota Ist started for a second then stopped, it turns over but won't start.

could be an airlock or crap in the fuel pipes .....but do not try to start it again until a qualified mechanic checks whether the timing belt is intact. After that has been established attempting a start might cost you dearly. Check first then try to fix

My 2005 kia optima LX ran out of gas and now it won't start, put gas and new battery but still won't start . please help

Paul is on the right ball - it sounds like fuel - turn over the engine with the pipe disconnected until the fuel comes through - if you don't succeed, consult a reputable shop - you need someone that knows what they are talking about to physically look at the car to solve the problem - this will save you a lot of time and expense. ?

running out of fuel sucks the dirt off the bottom of the tank it might have caused it to fail i think you can get to it from under the back seat you can see if the pump has power there as well

Hi Mark try spraying some starting fluid in the intake. You asked about putting petrol in the carburettor...your 1992 Saab has a carburettor? Impossible. That vehicle is fuel injected.Spray the starting fluid lightly or you'll flood the engine.

I ran my Daewoo espero out of petrol and now that i have put petrol in it it just wont start. no matter how much i try and jump start the bastard

When you turn the ignition to ON, you should hear the fuel pump hum for a couple of seconds. If you can't hear it, check the fuel pump fuse..... check all fuses anyway.

Run out of petrol put more in went to start car just kicks over seem like petrol not getting to carb the car is a 1997 model 146 no smells like flooding

Are you sure you ran out of petrol? It might be that the petrol pump or something else had died. The only way to tell is to undo the fuel line from the carb and turn it over, check if it pumps fuel (have someone help you with this.) You might also find that you've got a blockage in your fuel filter, caused maybe by **** left floating at the top of the tank that was sucked in when you ran out of petrol. Check the filter first and see if it's OK, then check if fuel is flowing. Also, on a 97 Alfa, I'd imagine it was fuel injected though I could be wrong. If it is then you'll want to be more careful wit the fuel line.
