Yes, I have the same problem. Don't want to spend the $100 diognostic fee because it is so intermittant, that it suddenly works when I drive to the dealership.

Could it be a partialy burned fuse?

I too have the same issue with my 2002 Trail Blazer only the drivers side control panel. Mine is fine all year until the outside temperature goes down lower then 30 degrees. Then in the morning the doors lock and unlock repeatedly for 10 minutes and the windows won't go down until the vehicle warms up then they work fine until the temp drops again. When spring comes there is no sign of the problem until fall.

Informed by who? if the switch was the issue you would need to do nothing but replace it, how do you know the window motor isn't defective?

If infact the dr. door switch assembly is the problem, then the switch will need to be programmed- not the body controller. The switch assembly is also refered to as the Driver Door Module (DDM). Anew or used module will not function properly until it is programmed to your vehicle. This is a dealer service that will cost approx. 1/2 hour labor.

How to remove underhood fuse/relay box

Before you replace another good part. Check grounds. The three main ones are the battery to body, battery to engine and engine to body. When multiple parts , especially when they run off different computers, stop working. It is a ground problem. It's not power as they have different power sources. You also have other ground points in the passenger compartment. check behind kick panels on both sides of the car. Year make and model helps.

Heater blows hot on drivers side cold on passenger side

it depends on what model and what options your Journey is equipped with. if it has a dual zone control climate control, it sounds like the blending actuators are not aligning properly or the blend doors are not adjusting to cooperate with the main climate control system. the temp. of the vehicle is controlled by Blend doors in the h/vac system that is thereby controlled by the body control module of the vehicle. the module is a computer that controls all functions within the body of the vehicle. the module should have problem codes that should isolate the area that needs attention.
the body module controls the blend doors in the h/vac system, the doors that open and close in the vents by the heater core that controls the temperature that is ultimately expelled the correct temperature that comes out of the vents. if the settings on both the drivers and passengers control knobs for example are on cold, and one side is hot and one side is cold, then there is a problem at the module level or most likely the blend door is the problem. most likely the actuator ( the motor that runs the blend door and controlled by the module) is not operating properly. your dealer will hook the module up to a diagnostic computer and retrieve the codes ( if any) and isolate which blend door is not working correctly.

usually its just a blend door actuator that needs replacing. to rule out heater core issues, if there is no excessive condensation on the windows and coolant on the carpet, then most like it's a module or blend door issue. if it's a single mode climate control, the same is true but puzzling b/c in that case, both passenger and driver h/vac system is designed to push out a consistent temp for both side without the option of variation on either side. again most likely a blend door issue.

hope this helps

I have a problem with opening car doors with remote for 1997 pontiac sunfire. I noticed that when you are in the car and you activate the open and close switch from drivers side the locks at the rear open...

Try this procedure...

KEY FOB PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS
Transmitter Programming
No Tools Required
In the event that a transmitter is lost, program the old & the new transmitters into the memory of the remote control door lock receiver. Up to 4 transmitters may be programmed.

Important
Once the keyless entry receiver enters the programming/diagnostic mode, the programming of the first transmitter erases all previous transmitter programming information. You must then program all of the transmitters.

Program only 1 vehicle remote control door lock receiver at a time. If u program multiple receivers simultaneously, the same transmitter could possibly be programmed to more than 1 remote control door lock receiver.

Perform the following steps:

Sit in the vehicle driver is seat. (actually it’s much ezr from the front pass seat)
Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
Close all of the vehicle is doors.
Remove the MALL PGM fuse from the fuse panel. Refer to Electronic Diagnosis in Body & Chassis.
Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the ACC position.
Turn the ignition lock cylinder OFF, then back to ACC within 1 second.
Open & then close any vehicle door. You will hear a chime when the remote control door lock receiver enters the programming/diagnostic mode. If u do not hear a chime, start again at step 1.

Important
After 7 seconds, you may hear a chime confirming successful synchronization. After approximately 14 seconds, you will hear a chime confirming successful programming.

Press & hold the transmitter LOCK & UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 14 seconds.
Repeat step 8 in order to program each additional transmitter.
Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
Install the MALL PGM fuse back into the fuse panel. Refer to Electrical Diagnosis in Body & Chassis.
Validate that all the transmitters that were programmed operate properly. Refer to Keyless Entry System Operation

Hope this help (remember comment and rated this).

2006 I-280. Battery died, replaced the battery

I'll try to help. It sounds like the drivers window motor or drivers window control shorted and killed the battery. If you want to fix it yourself you should take off the negative battery cable before taking off the drivers' door panel.

Then look at the backside of the drivers' window control switch and see if anything is melted. It could have melted the lock button too!

Some vehicles have an electronic menu in the dash or information center. This is where the optionable controls for "honking locks" and "flashing security lights" is programmed. You might have to reset the controls.

If you do not have these fancier features check your fuse panel for burn outs. If you do not want to do it yourself go to a glass shop or dealer.

PASSENGER POWER WINDOWS NOT WORKING IN 2001 JEEP CHEROKEE

Hi!

To resolve the issue you are facing with you need to check the following parts—

1. Battery voltage at window switch. If no battery voltage at that switch, check for broken wire between door and body it means the motor of the window has gone bad.

2. If window can be operated by driver switch or individual switch it means window switch has gone bad.

3. If the pin connectors are broken then it means the switch connector of the window has become unserviceable and need replacement. If none of the non-driver switch is working then it is a bad lockout switch.

Please check all the above possibilities and repair/replace whatever is gone bad.

Thanks for using FixYa

Please revert for further assistance.

Thanks
