Regarding my 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer: Recently I took the radio out of my car and when I put it back in- It only functions when the headlight are on. Need to find the solution to fix it back to normal. Also clock resets itself when radio comes on.

This sounds like a problem that needs to be taken up with Mitsubishi. What, exactly, would you like a car expert on a D.I.Y. site to do for you?

Probably from the engine compartment. Raise the hood and look at the rear of the light to see how it comes apart.

I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 2000 LANCER MY DASH WOULD WORK THEN ALL INSTRUMENTS WOULD NOT WORK INDICATORS LIGHTS WORKED IT WAS WEIRD AFTER 3 MONTHS GOING TO AUTO ELECTRICIANS MECHANIC ANYONE REALLY IT WAS FIXED ON FRIDAY 11TH DEC 2009 !!!!
I TOOK IT TO A PLACE CALLED ADVANCED AUTO INSTRUMENTS IN REVESBY SYDNEY PH9792 7399
WHEN I CALLED THEY NEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY CAR BEFORE I TOLD HIM.
HE SAID IT IS A FAULT WITH THE LANCERS AND THEY ALL SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED BUT OF COURSE THEY DID NOT BASTARDS
ON MY RECEIPT IT SAYS REMOVE AND REFIT CLUSTER FROM MITSUBISHI LANCER REPAIRED SPEEDO CIRCUIT BOARD AS REQUIRED CAUSING ALL GAUGES TO STOP WORKING $135.OO ONLY I AM OVER THE MOON

Most radios with security codes come up when the battery is disconected or goes flat. In t your sevice book there should be a code that you put in using the numbers on the radio.
