Question about 1998 Jeep Cherokee
My 1998 jeep cherokee doesnt want to start the lights come on but it wont turn over..i put more gas into it but it feels like there is no gas getting to the engine when i try to pump the gas nothing happens. I thought maybe it was the starter or altinator but im not sure .
I need to confirm some information. The engine is rotating, just not starting, right? When you put the key into the "on" position, do you hear the fuel pump prime itself? You'll hear a hum sound for a couple of seconds. If not, spray some starting fluid into the throttle body and see if the engine starts. If it does start with the starting fluid, then shuts off again, the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay is bad. I'd change the relay first, if that doesn't help, the fuel pump is bad.
