2003 Toyota 4 runner Issues

My gas gauge and a/c stopped working. Repair man said no error codes were given when checked. Gas gauge works when full or almost empty. A/C comes on and cuts off and a/c light blinks. Any ideas?

ac light blinks ac cuts out when tured on

  • Anonymous Apr 15, 2009

A year ago my A/C light started blinking and it turned out to be the expansion valve. The expansion valve was replaced and then this year the light ....you gussed started blinking again. After testing to see if there was any need of Freon....found out that lack of Freon was not the problem. From what I have been reading on other websites also, the problem points to the relay.
    Thanks for the Help.

Have a '92 4runner gas gauge has stopped working properly how does the system work?

It could either be a bad circuit board that controls the gas gauge, or the float in the fuel tank that is connected to the fuel pump has a crack in it and is full of gas so it just sits at near its lowest point.

Gas gauge is stuck on full on a toyota 4 runner

Sounds like you might have wedged the float unless you had the problem before then its the fuel sending unit

Bought a used 2003 Toyota 4Runner & the gas gauge

Depends on if the problem is the gauge on the dash or the sending unit in the tank. A mechanic would check for the voltage signal coming from the gauge at the tank wiring harness connector.

Gas gauge

I had mine stop working over a year ago. If the tank is more than half full it will measure correctly but anytime it falls lower it stops working. Luckily anytime it is truely low the low gas warning does come on so it is a great help.

Dash gas gauge stops showing proper gas level once it hits half a tank. Then gauge will fluctuate between empty (light will come on), full and anywhere in between but seems fine from full tank to half

If the trouble with the gauge started after you worked on it then you likely damaged or created a restriction to the movement of the sending unit. You will have to remove the tank and double-check your work.

How do you fix a code#P0125 on a 1998 toyota 4 runner?insufficient coolent temp. for closed loop control?

first check radiator level if it is full and the heater is working good make sure temp gauge is functioning c orrectly it is most likely the coolant temp sensor but if this is a high milage vehicle and you have owned long time and never changed i would also replace thermostat and check plug to temp sensor forr good conections and good wires

Toyota 4 runner gas gauge is stuck on full.

The solution to your problem most likely is the fuel gauge sending unit which is located on the fuel pump in the tank. SOMETIMES, the fuel pump and gauge are sold separately, but chances are, you may have to replace the whole assembly. Which is actually good measure, considering that you'll have the tank removed, anyway.

I hope this helps! :)

My 1994 Mercedes c220's fuel gauge stopped working

Fuel level sensor is in the gas tank, may be faulty or just dirty, make sure to fill the tank entirely full with premium unleaded, ad a high quality fuel system cleaner / de-gunker, this may clean the sensor enough to feed back to the gauge. It could also be the fuel gauge itself, but that is less likely. Mercedes will be happier with at least 1/4 tank of fuel at all times, and don't skimp on low octane gas!
As for the check engine light, you may have a bad gas cap... believe it or not a gas cap that doesn't seal properly will throw the check engine light. If you get the codes read (for free) at an Autozone or similar parts store it will likely read "evap system" as the problem, which will likely end up being the gas cap.
Take your car to a service center that does a true "flush and fill" of your a/c system. Those little canisters will just waste your money, and they never truly clean and re-lubricate the system like a flush and fill will do.

The gas guage on my 2003 toyota sequoia stopped working

I would check the fuse first, and if that isnt bad, there is a float in the gas tank that sends a message to the gauge to how much gas is in the tank
