Question about 1990 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer
Just replaced fuel pump back about 5 months ago, was told to check the relays, they were good, but when i went to listen to the fuel pump it made a clcik noise but no humming..is it a bad fuel pump??
Was it a factory GM pump? Check for power at the Grey wire going into the pump it should have 12V for 2 seconds after you turn on the key so you cant do it by yourself get someone else to either turn on the key or watch the test light, If you have no fuel pressure but have 12V for 2-3 seconds then you have a bad pump and be sure to double check the Ground make sure its clean and secure also change the fuel filter at the same time. Forget the oil changes they do nothing for the car oh yea change it one every 4 or 5 years is way fiine but change the fuel filter EVERY EVERY 15,000 miles no matter what. If this information helps please give me a fixya rating.
Oh yea make sure you buy a Factory GM pump you'll be gald you did,
