all you have to do is use some 1200 grit sandpaper sand it til it turns cloudy put on some very fine rubbing compound and buff it off use a electric buffer not a polisher looks new when finished

I have tried many different methods for this problem. I have found that Mothers Aluminum Polish applied and removed with a Microfiber Towel works fast, easy on, easy off and delivers lasting results as well. Good luck

I used the Easy Off oven cleaner on lens, it was magic. Looked brand new and stayed that way.

I have a 2000 GC and the headlights were very yellow. I used a kit to clean them and it did help but they were still cloudy. I found that using the orange automotive hand cleaner with a dish pan scrubber works well followed by a good rinse with clean water. I noticed several scratches still and then I used the 3m scratch remover for paint finishes. I think any type of scratch remover will work. The head lights are clear and shinny now. I also applied this technique to our second car. The second car is an 05 and had light yellowing. I had done only one side and the differance was shocking. I was then forced to re do the reoutine on the other head light. This was a inexpensive and easy solution. The whole sand paper issue is a pain in the but, it works but you will still notice the lenses are cloudy when you are finished.

I used a pan scrubber (nylon) and put Rain-X on it. Scrubbed it and then repeated using a rag. The rag and scubbie were both yellow. At least they'll stay clean longer if it doesn't clear it to your satisfaction.

I have cleaned very yellow glazed headlight lens on a 1995 taurus, 1993 escort, 1993 villager,1990 tempo by starting with 600 sandpaper then moving on to 800, 1000, 1200 and 1500 grit. Then using rubbing compound till clear. Keep clear after cleaning by using auto cleaner wax on lens every month or two.
