Cant get fuel lines off fuel pump

hi, are they connected thru pushfit and a jubilee clip to secure it and pipe has gone rigid thru time if this is the case boil kettle and pour boiling water onto pipe where it fits over nipple this should make pipe pliable allowing it to come off, some twisting is requred to break seal pipe has created to the fuel pump, if its fuel injection it has chance to be bolted on via the looped end and these always corrode together causing very stiff breaking of the connection, you can try applying wd-40 etc leave for hour then give some very gentle taps to each side of connection then possibly with someones help secure pump best you can to assist against the pressure your applying when trying to undo nut, pref always use hexagon socket not splined to prevent slipping and rounding of bolt heads, you can confidently apply required forcew to release bolts as these are hardened steel and very difficult to snap. hope this helps, let me know if i missed anything and to let me know results, kind regards

Water pump

Hello nedy...if you have the V6 engine, it will require the removal of the timing chain cover to access the water pump. The water pump is mounted to the engine block with 4 bolts. It is recommended that the bolts be replaced due to electrolysis (steel bolt in aluminum block) Replace all gaskets and o-ring seals as well.
While you are in there, you can inspect the timing chains, it has 3..and the chain tensioners. A Haynes repair manual would be helpful on this project and will have the correct torque specs.
Good luck...i hope this helps, please rate mr a fixya.
