2008 jeep wrangler hood problem

I just bought a 2008 jeep wrangler and my hood is lifting 2 to 3 inches off the frame when I'm driving on the highway in wind speeds over 15 to 20 mph. I've owned two jeep wranglers in the past and I've never had this problem but chrysler keeps telling me this is normal. What's normal about a hood that is lifting off the frame?

Check with your dealer, there is a recall on the hood latches. The parts were scarce, so schedule an appointment to get them replaced.

FYI, I still see a little hood lift after the replacement parts were installed, but no where near 2-3 inches.

This is an issue with all 2007 - 2008 Jeep JK wranglers. There is a cheap and easy fix. Daystar make a replacement in polyurethane that stops all that hood lifting and shaking. The part number is KJ09145BK. See it on Daystar web . com.
