Tip & How-To about 2000 Toyota Camry

Adding a few pounds of air pressure in each tire will firm up it's profile, lessening its 'bite' on the road and squeezing some more distance out of every gallon of fuel.
Don't do this B4 a long road trip in hot weather, rather you should DROP the tire pressure a few lbs, then.
Don't care what make or model - gas mileage DROPS above 60 mph

00Linc ls tires P235-50R -17 running 40PSI LABEL IN DOOR SPEC 30PSI . Would like to no what to do don't want to damage tire.

because it is a low profile tire with a wide tread , the 30 psi is a recommended pressure for a standard size tire
however at 30 psi you will probably find that it will wear with an under inflated wear pattern and the 40 psi is used to sit the tread flat on the road
best talk with a good tire shop as they have experience and reports form a vast range of customers who talk about the pressures they run to get the best wear from the tires
the tires I run are standard and the recommended pressure is 32 psi but the make of tire actually runs best on 38 psi and that comes from the tire manufacturer

an signal, in the form of an exclamation mark, is appearing on my dashboard. What does that mean?

you need to add air into your tires. put 36psi on all 4 tires and drive vehicle for about 2 miles or less at at least35mph and if all sensors and systems are ok, light will go out. if only 1 tire os low and other 3 are not, than you may have a nail in the tire causing a leak, which causes low pressure, which causes the light to come on. start with adding air to 36 pounds to aall 4 tires.

it should be written on the tires. it will say max air press. usually you put it at about 4-6 pounds below what it says, depending on the ride you want
