Tip & How-To about Ford Mustang

How to remove water from your petrol tank of any car.

If your petrol run car tends to balk and there doesn't seem to be a mechanical problem, it's probably water in the petrol tank. Pour a couple of cups of denatured alcohol into the tank. The alcohol will absorb the water and it will burn just like petrol.
Water in the system can cause other problems as well, but mixed with alcohol, it actually boosts the engines power in the right mixture. That trick was used in airplanes during WW1 If I remember correctly. It was misted into the air intake in just the right amount. It also works with cars, but finding the equipment is difficult. The engines "horse power" will rise noticeably, you will need less petrol and it keeps your engine parts clean. Too much water and it won't run properly.

The first thing you might want to check is to see if the fuel pump is still working. Running out of fuel is not a good thing especially with the in tank fuel pumps they tend to burn out when you run out of fuel.

next time it wont start, pour hot water over ecu, if it starts replace ecu, you will need a scanner to reset as it will go into theft mode when you fit new ecu, beware that this is a common fault and you can buy 2nd hand faulty computers.
