Tip & How-To about Honda Accord

1999 Honda Accord Center Console Gear Shift Burnt Out Light Bulb/Lamp Replacement

The part number of the Light Bulb/Lamp replacement is # 74. The part cost me $5 for a Sylvania 2 pack from a local Auto Parts store. A good site with instructions on how to replace the burnt out bulb is http://automotive.trevorated.com/
This part number may work for most G6 / 6th Generation Honda Accords, though I do know it works for my 1999 Honda Accord 4-speed automatic.

how to charge tag light

Vehicles: 2004 Buick LeSabre 3.8L SFI OHV 6-cylinder

From sylvania.com:
License plate light bulbs - 2 compatible tag light bulb types:
(1) 161
(2) 161LL (LL stands for "Long Life")
SYLVANIA Long Life miniature bulbs perform twice as long as any standard miniature bulb. Designed for durability, lower maintenance and greater safety.

These are available online, and also at every auto parts store:
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Long-Life-Incandescent-Mini-Bulb-Sylvania_5080167-P_1259_R'GRPLAMPAMS___

Since no maintenance manual covers this, do what mechanics do when maintenance manuals fail - get creative.

Unscrew or pry off the lens cover, pull out the License Plate's Type 161 bulb, and insert a new 161 or 161LL bulb, and replace the cover.

Test your installation by turning the ignition key to the "Accessory" position, which will turn on the running lights and the license plate light.

Light bulb number 1992 Tracer

The bulb number is A12V10W (12 Volts, 10 Watts). The easiest thing to do is to visit an automotive parts store as they usually have a bulb replacement manual which will list most of the bulbs based on the make, model, and year of your vehicle. The other alternative is to visit the link below and input the aforementioned data (I am not sure if the number that you will find on the website will be universal or only a Sylvania part number) http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/AutomotiveLighting/LampReplacementGuide/
