front Blower does not work on 2008 town and country.

At the moment, I think something wrong with "totally integrated power module", some people call this the bcm. There is no relay or fuse for front blower motor, there is a relay for rear blower. The dark blue wire is voltage from bcm or if you wish totally integrated power module. You could check the wire circuit/dark blue wire. With hvac turned on, check for voltage at the blower module and bcm, you could also check continuity, no voltage on the system.

Blower motor doesn't work, how do I find out if its the fuse, relay or if the motor itself is shot? I know where the fuse box is but some of it is abbreviated and I don't know what some of it stands for. Also if there is a relay for the blower motor where would it be located? Also where is the blower motor located?

The blower motor can be tested by removing the lead to it and seeing if it has 12 Volts by observing if the 'test light' lights up when the dash controls indicate that the blower motor should be operational.

One can test the fuses by using a 'fuse tester' available from Walmart or an auto parts store which will light up when an energized circuit has a blown fuse.

The blower motor is located on the firewall on the passenger side, in general on GM cars from the 1990s.

You may have to remove some items to get to it, though.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. If necessary, tag and disconnect the number 2, 4 and 6 spark plug wires from the ignition coil and move the coil out of the way.
  3. For 1993-99 vehicles, remove the nuts and cross brace bar.
  4. Detach the electrical connections from the blower motor.
  5. Disconnect the cooling tube from the blower motor.
  6. Unfasten the screws securing the blower motor to the blower module assembly.
  7. Remove the blower motor and fan assembly from the module.
  8. If necessary, unfasten the nut attaching the fan to the blower motor shaft, then pull the fan from the blower motor. Fig. 1: The blower motor and fan assembly is mounted in the heater and A/C module, and is accessible from the engine compartment 89636g22.gif
Fig. 2: You can disassemble the fan from the motor by removing the retaining nut 89636g23.gif
    To install:
  9. If the fan was removed from the motor, position the fan on the shaft, then install the retaining nut. Tighten the nut to 12 inch lbs. (1.4 Nm).
  10. Position the blower motor and fan assembly to the module, then install the retaining screws. Tighten to 5 inch lbs. (0.6 Nm).
  11. Connect the cooling tube to the blower motor.
  12. Attach the electrical connector to the blower motor.
  13. On 1993-98 vehicles, install the cross brace bar and retaining nuts. Tighten the nuts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  14. If removed, install the coil and connect the spark plug wires, as tagged during removal.
  15. Connect the negative battery cable.

the ac works but the switch wont turn on the fan. the rear controls work. its just the front that doesnt. checked the relay switches they seem fine.

Either you have defective blower motor or a defective blower motor resistor module. The resistor module has been known to fail on these trucks. Both items are located behind the glove box.

1991 Olds 98 Elite heater blower motor continues to run with key off. Will change speeds with controls but will NOT shut off..

if you haven't got your blower fan fixed yet, im sure it to be the same as mine, the blower motor relay which is out on the firewall under the big fuse block. take plastic cover off over the fuses and move the fuse block out of the way and you will see it staight under that. should be two screws holding it on.

1996 buick riviera blower motor will not shut off

The blower motor control module needs to be replaced, that will solve the problem. The module is underneath the hood on the firewall in the back. It has 2- 6mm screws. Unplug it, pull it out, put the other one back in. Plug it in. This is common for this model buick.
