How can I remove tree gum or sap off my car?

Try using WD40 shoot enough on it to let it soak in and then wipe off with a cotton terricloth rag. You can also try using peanut butter if that doesnt work. This method also works wonders on leather and vinyl interiors. Hope this helps.

Remove the distributer cap and wipe it out with a clean, dry rag.Wipe off the rotor button also.If this does'nt work then pick up a product called "wire dryer" at an auto parts store and spray the cap and all the plug wires with it.

1992 300e i sprayed dry wire but car still will not start

Spraying that stuff generally does not work. Remove each wire one at a time and wipe down with as clean dry rag. Then with another rag soaked in either silicone spray or wd40, wipe it down again and replace it. Also...check the inside of cap and rotor for any moisture or carbon tracking. If tracking, replace. If wet, dry it out and replace it.

My aerial is stuck on my XK8 - it goes up oK but not fully down?

If it makes a clicking sound when going up or if it is bent the aerial mast will need to be replaced, if there is no noise and it seams to work normally and just gets stuck then it needs cleaning. You can use wd40 and a cloth, with the aerial up, wipe upward (upward only, wiping down will push dirt into the mast and make it worse) spray the wd on the mast and the cloth and wipe upward, sent it down and repeat 2-3 times.
