Tip & How-To about Honda Accord

Removing a 'stuck-on' road wheel

It's dark, it's raining and you have a puncture and you can't get that punctured wheel and tyre off the hub! When you try pulling on the wheel/tyre, the vehicle almost falls off the jack and that could be dangerous. Best thing to do is find a hard piece of wood, about one and half meters in length, turn the steering wheel fully until the front of the wheel and tyre are exposed and then strike the inside rim of the wheel firmly with the wood - you'll find the wheel becomes free. Straighten the wheels and place replacement wheel and tyre on the hub. Scottech.

how do I change a tire on 2010 Routan?

place the hand brake on firmly--chock other wheels . loosen off the wheel nuts . jack the vehicle up finish removing the wheel nuts . pull the wheel of the studs . fit replacement spare wheel onto studs . do wheel nuts up as tight as possible . lower jack so that the wheel is on the ground . finish tightening the wheel nuts . Replace the jack and wrench in the boot along with the flat tyre . Take the flat tyre to a tyre shop for a puncture repair and have it fixed immediately. Most "people" leave the repair to a later time when they will need a spare that they do not have .The tyre change process is fully described in the owners hand book for your vehicle.

I have new Accent Excutive car, i just notiec that my car tyer type is Bridgestone S322 . My Question is its a Tube less tyre ? My car has all company fited tryes one of them show 175/170 R 13- 82S Tube less written on my car tyre but they have tube in it. Please advice are my car tyres are tubes or with tube , are they work with tube also ?

putting a tube inside a tubeless tyre is a cheap way of fixing a puncture,BUT DO NOT EXCEED 75MPH,as, if the tube gets punctured, you could lose total control of the car......If you get a puncture with A TUBELESS TYRE YOU SHOULD ALWAYS replace it (how much is your life worth)Tyres have written on the wall wether they are tubeless or not.DO NOT MIX THEM,lastly NO MANUFACTURER fits tyres with tubes for road use.

i have lexus 1999.es300.28000 miles.have crome wheels on it.one of the wheels, front on passenger side is loosing 4.5 lbs of air.the tyre is once puncture repaired.got checked with disc-count tyre.his saying is leakage thru. wheels.and he said there is always such problem with crome plated wheels.advise better to replace all4.guide me what to do,

mcdevito75 here, Your Tire Mechanic could be right regarding the chrome wheels leaking a bit of air, however, you have radial tires, either all season or steel belted, and once punctured radial tires are very hard to seal, very hard. I would advise a new tire rather than all 4 new chrome rims.

tyre puncture

if it is an alloy wheel ,it may be stuck around the hub where the wheel is placed.sometime there is rust around the hub thus preventing the wheel from coming out.So you have to slightly kick the wheel tyre from behind hardly and it will come out and if necessary a bit hard. Thanks
