Tip & How-To about Acura Legend

Precautionary tip for auto battery servicing

Here is a precautionary tip: When disconecting or reconnecting a battery always make sure the ignition key is in the off position (connecting a battery with the ignition key in the on position can spike the engine computer destroying it) and when attaching cables for jump starting vehicle or when just reattaching battery cables always attach positive (red) wire first, this will lower the risk of a large spark which can ignite the batteries hydrogen gas causing the battery to explode covering you and your eyes with sulfuric acid (not a pretty sight). and may cause you to lose your sight, always wear safety glasses if possible when working on or cleaning batteries.

I replace the ignition switch on my car now my car won't start its 20012 kia spectra please help

when re-installing new switch did you check to make sure the key turned freely threw the positions prior to tightening .did you disconect the batery or the srs system .just a shot in the dark make sure you re hooked up everything . if still nothing try disconecting your battery ground and reset your system when you hook it back up. the two electrical connections you took apart need to be rechecked also. this is the best i have to offer
good luck
