Air not blowing out of vents in car?

The air not blowing out of the vents in a car but actually if you can hear that air is kicking but its not flowing out of the vents, then this can be the reason:--

  • There is a blend door and motor in the heater box.
  • The blend door motor comes on when you select a setting.
  • It actuates the blend door and directs the flow of air to the proper place.
There are two types of motor mostly seen in car heater box.
  • One is the motor powered electric automotive current.
  • And other is the motor powered by vacuum hoses.

in your car any of this motor can be there.
Many times the blend door gets stuck from debris that falls down through the vents. Also it is possible that the blend door motor is bad or simply came unplugged. Some of these motors are powered by electric automotive current and some are powered by vacuum hoses. It is possible for the vacuum hoses to break or become unplugged.
you will have to check all this options to locate the fault for what is stopping the air from flowing out of the car vents.
this will help.good luck.

Toyota Previa fan blows but no air.

It could be that; the FAN MOTOR works but the fan-wheel is not turning. This usually happens when the center spindle of the fan-wheel RUSTS and eventually loses contact with the actual wheel itself.

air not blowing out of vents

Most vehicles today have what is called a blend door and motor in the heater box. The blend door motor comes on when you select a setting. It actuates the blend door and directs the floe of air to the proper place. Sometimes the blend door gets stuck from debris that falls down through the vents. Also it is possible that the blend door motor is bad or simply came unplugged. Some of these motors are powered by electric automotive current and some are powered by vacum hoses. It is possible for the vacum hoses to break or become unplugged. Check all these options. One of my kids dropped a comb down my upper vent and it blocked the blend door from directing the air flow. That was an easy fix and I hope yours is a simple. I hope this helped you. Roger

Air not blowing out of the vents of my 2003 Dodge Durango

From what I hear it is a vacuum line issue. Mine is doing the exact same thing. So, I am going to get a diagram and try checking the vacuum lines to see if any are loose or tore

I go under the dash and feel the air flowing out the floor and it is coming out of the defrost, also. I noticed under the drivers side today that air is flowing and there seems to be a gap in between a part under there. There was some material stuff I saw around the edge of it that sticky brown stuff and it sometimes before came out my vents all the time. Anyways, not sure if my air is just not sealed good to blow out the vents but it is something that happened not long ago and we've not done anything under our dash area.
