Tip & How-To about Chevrolet Impala

Tire installation

Take dated picture of your wheels while at the shop before getting tires and make them write any damage on their estimate before they install the tires as with the price of new rims, most places cant install tires without ruing the face of the rims.I went through this with Pep Boys(They did buy new rims, but they were aftermarket and not too good.I am going through this with sears in Moorestown New Jersey.I caught them double dipping the install charges and they had to refund my money.I am fighting with their insurance company as mine had to pay $600. for aftermarket rims.So take pictures and make them inspect and put inwriting and prior damage.if they wont then go somewhere else. This will protet both the shop and you.trust me on this as these guys are not honest.100% of the time thewill say it was there.Getit in writing. It was an expensive lesson for me.

i fell asleep at the wheel and hit a ditch.... And now both of my tires r tilting 2 1 side

You'll have to take it to a shop where it can be put up in the air and have the front end examined for damage and have an estimate written up for it. Did you have insurance? This is going to be expensive unless you have a buddy that can help you out.

Tires worn on the inside only

this is caused by a camber problem, camber is the tilt of the tire in and out, this can be caused by worn lower control arms, have them checked by a front end shop, they will in most cases do a visual check of the front end and give u an estimate for free, I know tire shops do this.

2006 Hyundai Santa Fe all wheel drive tire replacement

The engineers say all four tires should be same diameter so the transfer case takes no damage. THE question is how much can that vary...like partially worn tires mixed with new. Generally if your old pair of tires have half tread or more then match with the same type. If your old pair have less than half tread buy 4 tires of your choice
