Forget where spark plug wires go, firing order on a small block chevy V8

1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 Cylinder 1 is the front cylinder on the drivers side and cylinder 2 is the front on the pass side. Cylinders are odd numbered on the drivers side 1,3,5,7 and even on the pass side 2,4,6,8..

where would i find a diagram for the spark plug wires

AnyBasic repair manuel would have one, you can find them at Autozone. Or if you dont want to do that you could try this. depending on what size engine you have, 4-6-8 cylinder but usually all V engines have the firing order stamped on the intake manifold I can give the V-6 and V-8 and this is for engines with a distributor, NOT D.I.S (Direct Ignition System) The distributor cap usually has number one marked on it and the 4 cylinder models are either 1-3-4-2 or 1-4-3-2 V-6 order is 1-6-5-4-3-2 and the V-8 is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 these go in a clockwise rotation and ODD cylinders on Left(drivers side) or (*front of car*) even cylinders on the right(pass side) or (*back of engine compartment*) Hope this info helped.......

** this is if your V- engine is tranverse (sits in there sideways)

The number 2 cylinder is in front of the car on the passenger side closest to the oil cap. The cylinders on the firewall side are the odd number, front of the car even number starting from the passenger side to drivers. Rear are 1,3,5 and front cylinders are 2,4,6. The firing order will simple be 123456. Let us know if we can be of further help.

92 buick le saber---changing plug wires... rear cylinders are even, front are odd... from left (passenger side) to right(drv. side) what order is correct?? PLEASE help. am poor single father and mechanicaly stoooopid.

If you stand at front of car with hood open, the left side of the engine (side with serpentine belt) is where the numbers start. Odd cylinder closest to serpentine belt is cylinder 1 and even cylinder closest to serpentine belt is cylinder 2. The cylinders are in numeric order, for example: the cylinder next to cylinder 1 is cylinder 3.

what is the firing order for a 1995 bucik cetury 3300 block motor? Harmonic Balancer was replaced and I need to know if it will throw off the timing.

Did you mean 3100 engine instead of 3300?

By-the-way, the ODD cylinders 1-3-5 are on the side of the engine closest to the firewall, with the number one cylinder closest to the passenger side of the vehicle and the number 5 cylinder closest to the driver's side. Obviously, the EVEN cylinders 2-4-6 are on the side of the engine closest to the front of the vehicle with the number 2 cylinder closest to the passenger side, and the number 6 cylinder closest to the driver's side.
