3.0 diesel Isuzu wont start tip

Dip the oil and check its on the max , then put 2 litres more engine oil in the sump - this trick proves the oil pump pick up pipe welding or seal is ok or bad common fault on 3.0's

what is the sump capacity for a .4cyl diesel pregio van series 1.i drained it and put in 4 and a half litres of oil and the dip stick reads just over half/????

from what you say-- you put in 4.5 litres of oil and it is just over 1/2 but you took out 7 litres , that would be just about right as the other 2.5 litres should make it full on the dip stick
there would be a problem if you took out 10 litres of oil but 6 litres filled it to the full line on the dipstick

I need to know how much oil to put in buss Toyota coaster model 2007 can help I would be grateful many thanks

Most small diesel engines run 6 litres in the sump so start with 5 litres and check the dip stick Continue to add until the full level is reached.. Check after short run (1-2 minutes) and top up if necessary

WE DRAINED 2 1/2 LTRS OF OIL OUT DURING AN OIL CHANGE AND PUT 2 LTRS BACK IN, ITS NOW SAYING ON THE DIP STICK THAT ITS OVER FULL, WE EVEN TOOK THE SUMP PLUG OUT AT THE BOTTOM AFTER THE ENG WAS WARM BUT NO OIL RAN OUT!! CANT UNDERSTAND IT, CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE?

Could be that it needs to run, if you changed the oil filter also, you removed a full filter and put on an empty one. Could be that the often-present-on VW's plastic ring on the dip stick tube is broken, causing the dipstick to more fully insert. Check the specifications. Was the car parked differently? Uphile or downhill will cause a different reading, perhaps the before reading was inaccurate.

I do not have a manuel could someone tell me how much oil is required when changing a 2.2 engine.

Generally in the 5 to 6 litre (quarts) range. Put in 4 litres and check on dip stick. Add remainder half a litre at a time checking the dip each time. The volume of oil required to be added to go from "MIN" mark on the dip stick to "MAX" is just half a litre.
