Tip & How-To about Volvo XC60

Random chime / alert while driving

We just bought our first 2017 Volvo XC60. During the first few weeks of driving the car, we heard a chime or alert at what seemed to be random locations.

Long story short, there's a default setting in Navigation that sounds an alarm when it thinks there's a speed/photo camera approaching your current route of travel.

Below are pictures of the menu selections needed to disable this alert:

Open the Navigation Menu and choose 'Settings':

Then select 'Guidance options':

Then, scroll down to 'Speed camera warning' and remove/clear the check mark from this option. Fixed!

water leaking into lights on ceiling of volvo XC60 after I washed it

Take your vehicle to the dealer. This is a known issue having to do with the drain hose for the sunroof.
