Brake light checkout:
If you have no brake lights and/or brake lights are always on even when key is off:
Check out the brake light switch under the dash on the brake pedal arm.
You can adjust it or replace it, or Usually, the problem is a rubber stop that falls out and the switch end goes into the hole and never actuates. Since the switch operates in reverse, that indicates to the computer that the brakes are on.
Look around the brake switch area, and check whether the rubber plug is missing or if the switch can be adjusted, or needs to be replaced..
