ignition switch

Hi Marty, You have forgotten to say what vehicle you need to work on. If it is a late model, you will need to get the key re-coded. Different vehicles have the ignition mounted in different places so it is important to specify the vehicle type for us to be able to help you. Regards John

how do you remove a key from a Honday ignition

  • Ensure that the vehicle is off and in "Park" or "Neutral." If the vehicle is in gear or running, the key cannot be removed.
  • Place your left hand on the top of the steering wheel and place your right hand on the key.

Wiggle the steering wheel left and right, and attempt to turn the key into a different position, such as the "Accessory" or "On" position. Continue until the key moves freely.

Turn the key back to the "Off" position, then pull key out ignition
