No running lights,no dash lights,i
The cords running from the controls to the lights themselves may most likely have a short as you say you have them sometimes and other times you do not. This will need to be checked as the short could possibly cause a fire if it is short. When you go to get the short checked out, if it is not a short or a wiring problem, then have the fuses checked out just to be sure.

Most of the injector pumps are direct drive, gear to gear. If you are only getting fuel from one line then the shaft in the injector pump has sheared.. Though it is a very slight possibility that the gear has sheared off some of there teeth, very slight. You'll know when you start tearing it apart.
Spark Plugs
When changing your spark plugs, be sure to clean the area around the plug before removing it. This will ensure no debris falls into the cylinder causing internal damage.
Engine turns over but won't crank
The message "No Eng" displayed on the instrument panel of a 2002 Sterling typically indicates a communication issue between the instrument panel and the engine's control module. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
- Check the connections: Ensure that all the electrical connections between the instrument panel and the engine control module are secure. Look for any loose or disconnected wires and reconnect them if necessary.
- Check the fuses: Inspect the fuses related to the instrument panel and engine control module. If any of the fuses are blown, replace them with the appropriate rating.
- Scan for error codes: Use a diagnostic tool or scanner to read the error codes stored in the engine control module. This can help identify any specific issues that may be causing the "No Eng" message.
- Reset the system: Disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect it. This can sometimes reset the system and clear any temporary communication errors.
- Seek professional help: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it is recommended to take the vehicle to a qualified mechanic or an authorized Sterling service center. They have the expertise and specialized equipment to diagnose and repair the problem accurately.
Detroit 60 DDEC 4 in a Sterling RHD has no ignition power to ECU.
The first step in troubleshooting this issue is to check the power and ground connections to the ECU. Make sure the power and ground connections are secure and that there is no corrosion on the terminals. If the connections appear to be secure and in good condition, then the next step is to test the power and ground signals going to the ECU. If the power and ground signals are both present and within the correct voltage range, then the issue may be with the ECU itself and it may need to be replaced.
