Is the car giving a check engine light? Maybe putting a scanner on it and find out what is wrong. Otherwise you could throw a lot of parts at it before you figure it out. Could be the throttle position sensor (TPS), but then it could be a lot of things.

Call around to your local auto parts stores. Many offer you to use their engine diagnostics tools for free. They will help you find out your codes and what set them off. They will then help you trouble shoot your engine to get to the root of the problem. Best of all, no charge and a great place to start. With your limited information, I would suggest checking your spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap/coils.

i own towncar 96 car was fine an now it wont level up,the back end is droped how do i get the car too lift?i reset switch in trunck,put relay in box, wat could it be

In order to check your wiring, you need to remove the relay box on the driver's side door, that's where all your control are.

There may be a transverse piece of metal under the pan.If so, you need to remove its bolts and it to get to the oil pan bolts.

replace window switch and retry..sounds like bad contacts..

after checking coolant level,thermostat operation and if heater hoses feel hot(be careful not to burn your hand) the temperature blend door is probably at fault. It directs the air from the fan blower motor either across your heater core or A/C evaporator, giving you either hot or cold air. On a domestic car using a scan tool, the trouble code p0440 is an Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction. It can mean the gas cap is not installed or working right, the purge solenoid has failed, or the canister is plugged and not working right.

Check your fuel pressure it should be 35-40 with the key on and engine off.Sounds to me you have a weak fuel pump.
