'93 Hyundai Lantra, automatic transmission has
\'93 Hyundai Lantra, automatic transmission has trouble changing up from 1st to 2nd, it tends to rev on a bit, clunks once or twice before changing to 2nd, other gears seem to be ok. Oil levels are ok and have recently replaced the transmission oil (yes the correct oil was used)
My MIL always on and
without having the car right here at my garage it would be a little difficult to diognose properly but through experience a flashing mil light along with engine running problems and probably you have decreased fuel economy would be a o2 sensor specifically the front one. The front o2 is really important in the way a car runs and operates. The proper way to diagnose would be to pull the code to varify its the o2, replace o2, clear code and test drive afterwards.
I have a 2004 Hyundai Elantra and my malfunction
It is difficult to say what is wrong from a malfunction light. it may not have anything to do with your heater as long as your heater is working ok.
the malfuntion light maybe for anything and so impossible to judge without more information as to the cost.
i would recommend asking a dealership if they can tell you what is wrong just to ensure it is not something to do with the breaks or airbags etc.
Just bought turned on radio punched in a code 1234
This is an antitheft deterrant installed factory from Hyundai. Your option is to take it to the dealer so they can retrieve the code for you, or replace it with an aftermarket stereo. I had the same issue when I got my Elantra, but I was lucky enough that the previous owner had it written in nail polish in the glove box.
My hyndai santafe wont turn over
Which one is it?... Elantra?... or Santa Fe? In either case, the problem could be fuel pressure (fuel pump), then again, it might be crank sensor, coolant temp snsr, Intake Air Temp snsr. Have you scanned it for any trouble codes? Did the 'Check Engine' Light come ON? Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' (Service Engine Soon) light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on.
You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE the problem and perhaps eventually fix the problem.
Won't crank after it has been running.
sounds to me as if they did not do the job if they did they need to also check the cam posistion sensor this will also keep your vehicle from starting. if you take it back to the dealer tell them you want the old part back. but if the area around the crank sensor looks untouched it probably was. hope this helps you.
My 1993 Elantra's seat belt audible/light
There is a switch in the seat belt latch that is probably worn out and it is sensing that the seat belt is not being used.
If this is a problem it should be easy to fool it into thinking the seat belt is connected by finding the wires that run to that switch and connect them together.
Over heating problem
check your thermostat and water pump, also check if there is any water or coolant in your rad and overflow bottle at all, rad should be full and overflow bottle should be half full
