no, but with a older vehicle like this, it does not hurt to use a thicker oil grade like 10w30. i would also use this oil stabilizer called Lucas engine oil treatment once a year. it goes in like molasses and from experience, it cures the light engine knock.

These cables are a fairly common failed part and sold as the set,these are a dealer item and no aftermarket cables are available .

well the quad driver may not be at fualt and most likely is not.

there is a fualt line that the computer uses to monitor for fualts but the thing is one line monitors four different things and the code is to get you in the general area but not to the exact fualt. so from here you need to test for failed components. that code and the quad driver monitors the a/c , evap solniod , egr solenoid and coolant fan relay. the fan relay and egr are the most common i see all the time. and with you having an isssue with that coolant light i want to say check the fan circuit.

FUEL PUMP-REMOVAL:
1. Relieve the fuel pressure. (in order to relieve fuel pressure: 1. remove fuel cap. 2. remove fuel pump relay from the relay panal located under the center console. 3. start engine and wait for engine to stall, then turn off the ignition key. 4. Position a small screwdriver in the fuel pressure test port and carefully depress the valve to allow any excess fuel to bleed out of the fuel line.)
2. Remove the cable from the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the fuel tank.
4. The fuel pump/fuel level sending unit assembly is located inside the fuel tank. Its held in place by a lock ring. Using a brass punch and hammer, carefully tap the lock ring couterclockwise and sperate the cover from the tank. ***WARNING*** Don not use a steel punch-a spark could cause an explosion.
5. Pull the fuel pump assembly out of the tank. Be careful when manipulating the module out of the fuel tank. it will be necesarry to angle it in various positions as you extract it.
6. Remove the O ring from the opening.
7. Inspect the filter on the lower end of the fuel pump. If its dirty, clean it with solvent and blow it out with compressed air. If its too dirty to be cleaned, replace it.
8. The Fuel pum cannot be disassembled except for removal of the fuel level sending unit. In the event of a defective fuel pump, replace the eniter assembly as a single unit or module.

Have some one run them while you are under the hood, if you can hear the washer pump running. if it is,check all the rubber tubes to see if they are hooked up, if they are see if they are clogged, or replace the nozzles/squirters. if you dont hear the washer pump running, replace it. Any local parts store can get it, located around or at the bottle where you fill the washer fluid.

On my daughters sl2 it is on the driver side. A note though, there are 2. Crazy i know, one above the other. One goes to the guage and one to the computer. When my son had the car it would not stay running at idol, had to rev the engine to keep it going. The engine would shake hard too, what through me was the guage in the care read fine but once i found the sensors the one looked fine the other looked like it split in half. Hope that helps

You mite have a ignition problem spark plug leads or coil or resister problem I thing I sounds leads braking down

The pink wire at ignition module goes hot with the key on, fuse protected circuit. Also, black wire with white tracer is ground. Hope this helps.
