It sounds like a battery cable issue. Check both ends of both cables and assure that they're not corroded, damaged, or loose. The connections within the battery can do this too so if the cables check out have the battery load tested. The problems you are describing sound like a classic case of your fuel pump going out. If you replace the fuel pump You should solve your problem. I hope this helps you out.

If you still have the lean burn ignition system, it has probably gone bad. Chrysler dealers used to sell a kit that included a new distributor and module to fix this problem and get rid of the lean burn system. They are probably still available online or ebay.
