Battery temperature sensor
It could be either a bad battery or bad battery connections. Have the battery tested . Some auto parts stores will do this for free.check battery connections for signs of corrosion. Clean thoroughly before reinstalling battery. It may be a charging system problem have a garage test the alternator. Hope this helps
Change a fuel pump on my 2002 cadillac Seville
Hoping the gas tank is close to empty. The fuel pump module is located on top of fuel tank. Raise car in air support with jack stands remove necessary shields and exhaust piping. disconnect fuel lines and electrical wiring remove straps and lower on a floor jack. Once out clean road debris off top remove lock ring and remove module either replace as unit or pump by itself. Install in reverse order. Your first one about 3-4 hours shops 2-3 hours.
2002 Cadillac interior lights won't shut off
There is a slide switch on the overhead console. It has 3 positions, on, off and auto. Slide it to the auto position and, if the switch is working, that should solve your problem.

P0507 Higher idle speed than expected partially stuck open thermostat engine running colder than normal raises idle speed. Small vacuum leak raises idle speed. sticking throttle cable holding throttle plate open.P0741 Torque Converter Clutch system stuck off : Code conditions : No engine or transaxle system codes set, engine run time over 5 seconds , Throttle Fluid pressure switch not indicating Park/Neutral,TCC commanded On @ max duty cycle, throttle angle over 8% Trans fluid Temp input 68-248f Degrees not in fuel cut off, trans gear ratio indicates 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear delivered torque 32-150 ft lbs, the PCM detected a TCC slip value that was over the torque limits . most likely cause is bad tcc solenoid or torque converter itself. Trans shop can diagnose and repair
2002 CADILLAC CANT PASS SMOG
P0507 code idle speed is high than expected. Partially stuck open thermostat can make the computer think that the car is cold and command a higher idle speed. A small vacuum leak will also raise the idle speed. Throttle plate not fully closed cause this condition. Once problem is solved then clearing codes will leave computer monitors at incomplete which will still fail state inspection by driving the car over several days with a fuel tank between 15%-85% will allow them to run to completion. Ask your state inspector how many monitors need to run to completion the hardest ones to complete are EVAP, SEC.AIR, CAT.
