Does anyone know what wirring abbreviation NCA means for 191 eldorado
Regardless the year, maker, model it stands for No Color Associated/Assigned. In most Chrysler schematics I've seen generally the wire leading from the alternator (8 gauge on stud with nut) is listed NCA going to a fusible link (10 gauge) sitting between the 8 gauge Red battery connection.
Where is the shift solenoid
with age of car many things cud be worn on trans--do a pressure chec for any internal leaks--may just need a trans fluid change or a tv valve ajust etc --automatics are very complicated-get a book or ask a reputable tech to test drive
Electronic modular has been replaced, fuel pump and filter 02 sensor on exaust maniflold all have been replaced engine still dies @ hwy speeds as well as low end?
gremilins, you have to hate gremlins, it sounds like it could be a couple of different things, 1, there should be an engine block heat sensor in the engine somewhere, it could be if your engine is becoming to warm the sensor could be shutting down the engine, but you should be getting a warning message if that was the case. another possibility is you have a cracked wire somewhere in the wiring system for the ignition and when the wire gets war it expands enough to break the connection and as soon as it cools down it reconnects. But this would only be happening if the engine compartment gets quite warm. I am guessing this problem only happens when you are driving or will it happen if you leave it running on idle for any length of time? However when all is said and done, rather than continue to buy and replace possible parts that may be the problem as you have done so far. Take it to a qualified auto electric repair shop to have them put it on one of their machines to see if it can detect where the problem lies. It will probably cost you an hours labor charge but at least you will know where the problem lies. Oh and from my experience DO NOT TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AS THEY ARE ALL IDIOTS !!! One more thing i just thought of, in the bottom area of your distributor there is an L shaped piece of plastic with one 4 or 5 line connector it is called an electrical ignition module these have been known to cut off power to the car but i have not known of one to do it intermittently or not usually they work or they do not but it worth checking into.
