You must have entered bad code several times.
If the radio belongs to you, turn on for two hours and it will ask for the code again.
If the radio belongs to someone else, return it to the owner.
Hello , where is the handbrake adjuster on volvo v40 - 53reg
V40 cable ajuster is situated under the rear part of center console. Remove rear tray, undo the two posi screws, remove the cup holder rubber base cover to expose one more posi screw-undo.
Now you can lift the section backond off the handbrake lever.
Look under the flexi plastic cover and find a gold nut which has a sprung retainer.
You can now effect adjustment via this nut book suggests six to seven notches from off to on for ideal adjustment.
Oil pressure wiring fault
It can be in te instrument cluster. Or the wire that goes to the oil pressure sending unit is shorted
Engine cuts out when stopping
I have had this problem with other vehicles. I usually check the TPS sensor. Throttle Position Sensor. That tells the vehicle when you or not on the throttle so it will idle. Have replaced it in two vehicles due to the same problem your having.
How do you replace the alternator in a 2003 V40? no manual available on our island...

Remove or disconnect the following:
Engine splash guards, if equipped
Negative battery cable
Drive belt
Power steering pump
Mounting bracket
Connector and wiring
Upper mounting screw
Upper screws for the air conditioning (A/C) compressor. Move the screws approximately 30 mm forward.
Lower screws for the air conditioning (A/C) compressor
Alternator

To install:
Install or connect the following:
Alternator
Upper bolt. Do not tighten
Mounting bracket
Two bolts for the air conditioning compressor
Tighten bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm)
Connector and wiring
Power steering pump
Drive belt
Negative battery cable
Engine splash guards, if equipped
Cannot find the location for
We would recommend taking a look at the front of your motor, by either of the camshafts and where they exit the head(s). The sensor is either a optical or hall effect sensor, so try and find a housing that is near or around your intake or exhaust camshaft ( or just single camshaft) for the location of your camshaft position sensor
