Suv made a roaring noise , then would not engage like a transmission problem , but has not done it in a week

Check transmission fluid level and condition. It should be pink / red in color - NOT brown or have a burnt odor.

How do I repair a brake booster motor

You should be able to get a "rebuild kit" for the booster. There are rubber seals and diaphragms in the booster that can go bad.

Which fuse in the fuse box is for the power windows

Check fuses on panel, then check all connectors, check for kinked or frayed wire, then lastly, the circuit board for your panel! Not an easy task as you are checking for continuity between connections. If its the circuit board on your arm rest I would suggest a junk yard for a known good operating board. Make sure they have some type of guarantee as these are expensive new! Hope this helps Interior Fuse Box Location 2003 2009 Lexus GX470 2007 Lexus GX470 4 7L V8 The video above shows how to replace blown fuses in the interior fuse box of your 2007 Lexus GX470 in addition to the fuse panel diagram location. Electrical components such as your map light, radio, heated seats, high beams, power windows all have fuses and if they suddenly stop working, chances are you have a fuse that has blown out. If your GX470 is experiencing electrical problems, you should always check the fuses first, because they are relatively easy to check and cheap to change. Some Lexuss have multiple interior fuse boxes including in the trunk - the video above will show you where the interior fuse box of your 2007 GX470 is located. If your GX470 has many options like a sunroof, navigation, heated seats, etc, the more fuses it has. Some components may have multiple fuses, so make sure you check all of the fuses that are linked to the component in question. If you need to replace a blown fuse in your GX470, make sure you replace it with one that has the same amperage as the blown fuse. If checking and replacing the fuse for the component in question doesn't work, we recommend seeking assistance from a trusted professional mechanic. They should be able to figure out if the component needs to be replaced or if there is a short or some other problem with your GX470.

How do i fix head gasket

The process is basically the same for any car or truck. Yours is an 8 cylinder engine, everything will have to be removed from the top of the engine and all wiring will have to be disconnected and moved to the side, You will have to remove the valve covers. If you have an overhead cam, in this car, you'll have to remove all the pulleys, water pump, AC unit and power steering unit from the front of the engine so you can then remove the timing cover. Remove the timing chain(s) and gear(s), you then can go after the head bolt removal. If you do one head gasket, you may as well do the other one why you have the car tore down. If you have aluminum heads, you will most likely have to take the heads and have them milled (resurfaced) especially if you overheated the car when the head gasket blew. For more detailed information, you really should buy yourself a repair manual so you can get torque specs on nuts and bolts and buy any specialty tools you may need to do the job.

1999 lexus LX470 does the timing mark on the left bank line up with the single dot or the double dot if i line up with the double dot (as per manual) the pully for the timing belt points down 180 degr

looking from the front of the engine , the pulley mark on the LH cam pulley lines (12o'clock) up with the centre of the 2 notches and the RH lines up (12 o'clock) with the single notch. On the crank one mark will be lined up with a single notch at about the 1 o'clock position and another at the 3 o'clock position lined up with a series of dots. Ensure that you have the piston on TDC no1 first and align the crank marks first.
