How do I replace rear coil spring

you need a spring compressor. There are three or four bolts which hold the spring/strut in place on each side.. remove the assembly and apply the spring compressor to take off the tension. Remove the spring and slowly release the tension. compress the new spring and assemble in reverse order... replace the struts at the same time or you will regret it later FYI.. thanks! Stan

Plymouth acclaim 1993 stuters while driving. Also, there is a whirring sound coming from engine

Check the air filter! Make sure the noise is coming from the engine, not the trans (is the noise also appearing when you rev it up in Park?)! Is it the 6 or 4 cylinder engine? How old are the spark plugs and cables? Take the distributor cap off and check for the finger having a good contact. Maybe it's worn out? Check the fuel and fuel line. Is the stuttering appearing since you refueled? Maybe you got bad fuel... Last but not least exchange the fuel filter (or have it exchanged by a shop). Autozone.com has some pretty good how-to manuals about all this.

Only get defroster. won't change to other levels.

That heater control is powered by vacuum. There is a small hard plastic vacuum hose going through the firewall next to the brake booster. This plastic line feeds the control panel and is either cracked or disconnected from the control panel. If your heat is only warm, then your thermostat is probably bad.
