i had the exact same thing happen to me with my first car, a 1966 mercury comet. i replaced the fuel pump, rebuilt the carburetor (twice), and finally rebuilt the entire engine! still, every time afterwards, the car ran ok, then would cut off again! it turned to be just a $2 clogged fuel filter. i' suspect the same with your vehicle. after removing the filter, simply blow through it. any resistance, means it needs replacing.

FAIL, no engine stated, we cant open the hood and look, you must. and no country stated, some countries use different smog parts. why ask this out of context, you have symptoms, you have DTC errors.? what makes you think there is one, (books, guessing, net rumors) ? https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1066-2006-forenza-reno-service-manual.aspx 4 bucks that is the official factory service manual, FSM i have a 2004 and had 3 engines , options G16B SOHC I4 J20 DOHC I4 H25 V6 all work totally different, (EFI + smog devices_ log in ,look up our engine, see schematic see all parts related to 02. every detail. the 2002 has a very large number of 02 , OBD2 DTC errors possible each has MEANINGS. and tests to find TRUE cause.l

you mean the firing order ...... for the drivers side its 135 the passengers side 246

check to see that the harness has not got a join by plug connecter between front to rear of vehicle, check if the earth wire is connected to the body to metal not on paint . and of course the ovious one of the globes are not blown, or corrosion on joins , dielectric grease on all connections. as well as check the parkers come on in the front of the vehicle as well ,and make sure as there isn't another fuse box some where . that should give you a good start.

America, the connector on all OBD2 cars is 1 meter or lessfrom the center of the steering column, usually at the knee level.the CEL must be out or you fail here, in USA , in 1 second flat.so. fix that firstthe Monitor status can take 30 minutes of fast driving.the EVAP (that means gas tank vents) tests takes the longestand will not run out if the fuel tank is full, so get the tank 1/2 full sayand drive 30min and bam, all the monitors are complete.in some states they allow one monitor to be incomplete.no state stated., nor even country, Smog laws very by both factors.my 04 GV the OBD2 16pin connector is by right knee, just underthe knee protector panel, by your knees, you must look under, not at it. for 4 bucks, you can read and see photos of it here. for any suz.this is the FSM.https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1194-2002-vitara-grand-vitara-service-manual.aspxgood luck, and ask questions.btw2, most autostores, or any ASE local mech will scan you for free.ask em.\' not all are like stealerships.

no , you need to prime the system, its all full of air now. old post, i bet you discovered that already.

as in all cars, you SCAN it. connect any scan tool to the OBD2 16pin port, connect on the dash and scan it. easy huh? tool can be as cheap as $9 or free scan an any auto shop. most shops scan for free. (worth salt)

This will need to be put on a scanner to see what sensor has flagged up.. The car will not be as efficient with this light on so get it checked asap. Use a good local garage...listen to what they say. If it doesnt make sense, write it down and come back here with description. Cheers Roger

which engine? 2.5L V6? what is the question, you didnt ask one, the operators guide is clear, take it in for service. so ? what is the question,? DIY? this code, means there is a problem with A/C , freon too low. the A/C refrigerant is reading wrong, or get it checked.

what does FIT? mean. prefect fit, no. safely fit. no. can I make it fit , with my welder and metal fab tools, sure. the 95 is a gen 2 car the 2002 is generation 5 car, they are radially different bodies and the 95 is narrow body, with G16 engine. the 2002 is wide body and mine is 2.5l v6, You want a gas sucking V6 , sipping from that dinky 1.6L tank? why>? my v6 gets 19mpg , best of best. my 96 gets 28mpg, worlds apart.. not only that the fuel fittings are not the same. the old 95 uses banjo's the 95 pump only fits a 95 tank the 2002 needs a bigger pump. and has different pressure. spec. and flows. and different fittings. not to mention wrong sender, and all the EVAP and other parts

From what you say I would have a load test done on the battery as the sudden drop in voltage when trying to start indicates a dead cell

what country? having the connector does NOT mean it complies with USA OBD2 systems and tools, so not posting country , all answers are impossible. if you google the you will see that repeated like 1million times. LHD or right hand drive? if in USA, LHD all cars here are OBD2 16pin Dshell connectors. and 100% OBD2 compliant. and are all 1 meter steering wheel center , but sady that is like 10 places. i can sniff any out i 5min flat with a flash light. 2nd google hit.
