Lights flicker, (outside and inside
You need to check the plug that goes into the alternator to see if it's tight fitting next the brushes inside the alternator have a wear indicator that is a hole in the center it is also used to set them in place with a pin that could be the flickering cause the brushes are solid till they get to the opening so when the alternator is running there's always a break in contact because of the hole so it makes and breaks contact causing the flickering and the charging level is ok but when a lot of accessories are on it can't keep up the charging voltages so the battery gradually goes dead losing power also another spot to look is the power distribution box cable it co u ld be loose and dirty and corroded

Low base oil pressure
I had the same problem in my E4 50 super duty box truck. I replace all the wire harness on the IPC blah blah blah all those sensors and still have the same issue. Diesel engine produces more power when more diesel fuel is introduced into the combustion chamber by the injectors. So given that, I ended up replacing all the injectors with factoring Motorcraft OEM injectors and that solved all the problems.

How do I test the glow plug relay on a ford 2004 excursion
You will need a multimeter. You have to do a voltage drop test across the two large terminals. Set your meter to DC voltage range and put one lead one one terminal and one lead on the other terminal. With the key off the meter should read approximately 12 volts. This tells you there is voltage present. When you turn the key to the on position you should here the relay click and your reading should drop to zero volts indicating the voltage is passing through the relay. If you here the click and the meter still shows voltage then the internal contact plate has burnt not making a proper contact and will require replacement.

Why dose air blowing out dash hot when in cold a/c position
Hello, There are a number of reasons that may cause your A/C to blow hot air. The compressor belt could be loose or broken, the A/C system could be low on freon, the A/C compressor clutch could be defective or the fuse could be blown, or the A/C mixing door could be stuck open just to name a few.

Location of fuel shut off on 2004 ford excursion
The fuel shutoff, or Inertia Switch, should be located behind the passenger side front kick panel. It is simply a button, that you push to reset, and get the fuel pump pumping fuel again. If it is not there, get back with me immediately and I will find out exactly where it is. All my information at this time indicates it is behind the kick panel.

CLIMATE CONTROL PANEL HAS NO POWER
Unhook batteries and leave unhooked for at least 1 hour or overnight if possible. When you hook the batteries back up your climate control should have power.
