Every once in awhile my
Providing this isn't a intermittent security issue my first suspicion would be a crank sensor issue. When the mechanic diagnosed it and it did not start he should of checked the signal on the sensor. This would of told him the sensor was working on a no spark issue or not working causing the no spark issue. Its possible if it was working you may have an ignition module problem. Also a main relay could cause this if you have one. Ask the mechanic. He may of checked or rotatated the relays to verify if it was bad.
Other than that hard starts in cold weather usually relates to moisture in the fuel. A fuel additive like HEET can be added to allow the moisture to mix with the fuel and remove itself from the system. HEET is a alcohol based product.
Do u have a diagram
The thermostat is located on the driver's side where the hose from the radiator attaches to the housing. The bolts (3) of the housing screw in from the bottom up.
The cabin heat problem is most likely an air blend door stuck in the "cold" position (you may have a defective actuator motor: electric or vacuum operated). Some older vehicles had a cable operated blend door.
IS my motor bad?
if you have run out of oil then you more than likeley scrapped the engine
Why is #1 cylinder misfiring?
Could be a faulty plug, fault wires, or maybe an issue with the throttle body.
Pull the plug and see if there is any oil on it, if so, then your valve cover gasket and spark plug chamber seals need to be replaced. If this was the issue, don't waste your time with the existing plug(s) and wires, they have been fouled - trust me, just replace them.
My Mazda Millenia won't start or turn over. I replaced the battery and still nothing. When I try to crank it all the lights come on but that's just about it? What's wrong?
Do you have any other symptoms, like the lights dimming when you turn the key, or a clicking sound from the engine compartment?
It sounds like your starter is not engaging and that could be from a number of reasons. The main culprit is usually the starter solenoid, which is the main switch between the battery and the starter motor. Sometimes the starter itself is faulty, very possible, so have that checked. If you can't move the car, you will have to take the starter out. You could do a quick check if the starter will turn or not.
1 Remove all jewelry from your hands. There is a LOT of power on the starter, you don't want to cook your fingers.
2 Take a heavy metal object, preferably a large screwdriver that you have no emotional attachment to.
3 Short out the two big terminals on the starter solenoid. The starter should now spin, but will not engage. If this happens, the starter might be OK.
4 Trace the main battery cable to the starter. Now short out the main cable to the smaller contact on the starter. This should pull in the solenoid and turn over the engine. If this does not happen, your solenoid is suspect. If the engine does turn over, you have a wiring problem, or a problem on the ignition switch. The latter is very unlikely, but possible.
Happy hunting!
