New battery. Won't start (even with a jump) - *no click*. Headlights, radio, heater all work.
Check the starter solenoid. Usually mounted on a fender well. Find by following the + battery cable.

I have a 1992 crown victoria and the tail lights and parking lights quit working. I checked all of the fuses and they seem good. What next?
I found out that if I pull the headlamp switch a little bit that the tail lights will then work for some reason

THE"CHECK AIR SUSPENSION" INDICATOR IS ALWAYS ON IN THE CAR WHEN I START IT, IT DROVE FUNNY SO I FLIPPED THE MANUAL SWITCH INT HE TRUNK YESTERDAY,WRONG IDEA. WHEN I WENT BACK TO THE CAR IT DROVE LIKE IT HAD ABSOLUTELY NO SUSPENSION AT ALL IN THE REAR. SO I FLIPPED THE SWITCH BACK,NOTHING,LEFT OVER NIGHT,NOTHING. I READ SOMEHTING ABOUT A FUSE UNDER THE HOOD? IS THERE AN EASY ACCESS VALVE TO FILL THE BAGS?
I have the same issue. Mine is a leak in the air suspension. The first thing to do is go to your under hood fuse box (the one with the oversized fuses) The fuse will be a 30 amp (large green) fuse. If the fuse is blown just go to Pep Boys,Kragen,or Autozone and they are less than $3.00. If this fixes it the air suspension will fill up within a couple of minutes (with car running) Usually these fuses will blow when you have a leak and the small compressor that fills your suspension gets overworked causing the fuse to blow. If that is the case with your vehicle keep a couple extra fuses handy until you get the car serviced. The only time you should flip the switch to the off position is when you are raising the car on a jack. Make sure the switch is flipped on when you replace the fuse.

i can see the speed in dial , the needle moves but stops onece in long while. But the odometer never changes a number. i tried zeroing the distance measure several time but it dont work it is all zeros all the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Sounds like the speedometer head itself has failed or is in the process of doing so. While it may be possible to obtain just a speedometer head it would be far easier and probably cheaper to go down to the local salvage yard and get yourself a whole new instrument cluster. Many times they will come with instructions for resetting the mileage to match your car, if it doesn't, just attach a drill to the connection point for the speedometer cable and run the drill until it has the right mileage.

transmission only goes in reverse
Most likely the forward gear has broken that means you need a rebuild or a new transmission ......But thats my opinion I had the same thing happen to me and most of the time it works only in reverse that means the forward gear has broken....Hope this helps and sorry for the bad news....

How to replace egr valve on 1995 crown vic 4.6. Valve is in hard place to get to.
On 1995 Crown Victoria the EGR valve is located at
the rear of the engine compartment. While the attaching bolts can be
gotten out with a little bit of a problem the egr tube that atteches the
EGR valve to the right exhaust manifold is a pain. It is possible to do
though. Here are the removal and installation instructions. If you are
sure that the EGR valve is the reason for any check engine light then
you can remove the battery cable for about five minutes to reset the
light, but if the light is on for a differant reason then you just got
rid of the code plus any freeze frame data that a shop could have used
to diagnose the problem.

my key won't turn in the ignition, steering wheel is locked up
Try turning the wheel in both directions with some force while turning the ignition. Sometimes the steering wheel is in a bind when the vehicle is parked and it makes the ignition lock cylinder "stick". WHen you relieve the pressure on the steering column you should be able to turn the key.

the gear shifter wont go into park , and only started in neutral but now seems to be stripped. this is a 1992 crown victoria v-e
The bolt tens to loosen up on the shifter. Look up from the floor board at the column. You will see the shift cable attached to a metal shift arm. Where this arm is bolted to the column with two bolt, tighten the bolts they should be loose, You will need a torx bit. I think T30 or t40
