Vehicle started sludgish after cranking once during the weekend
By now I would guess you have replaced the battery in the vehicle. Batteries always struggle during winter if they are getting old or run down after a lot of short runs and use of the heater blower, windscreen wipers, electric rear window heater and headlights.
Nothing beats a garaged car for being easy on the battery........and giving it at least a 10 mile run every weekend at speed keeps the condensation out of the engine, oil and exhaust systems.
Why a vehicle hesitates when going a speed of 65mph?
is it an automatic transmission? if so check the fluid level, that (MIGHT) take care of it if its low for the high speed problem but I think you have a fuel problem, check air filter if dirty change it then change fuel filter then get some injector cleaner and put into gas tank and run a full tank of gas out if that don't work then you will have to find a auto shop that can do code reads on that old of a car, also check your spark plugs make sure there in good shape, after you do that stuff and if its still not running right holler back and give me more details on everything it doing
