MY 1985 Stanza keeps turning
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You need fuel, fire, and air to start a vehicle. You need to check the fuel pressure and check for spark to start out. It may be water in the tank. If you think it is possible, drain the tank. Check and make sure the fuel pump is working. If it is not, check the fuses/relays, and reset. You should hear it come on for a second when you first turn the key over. Inspect your fuel filter, gas lines, and fuel injectors also. If the fuel checks out, start looking at the ignition system. Check your timing belt/chain and make sure it didn't break. You need to test for spark. If you don't have spark, check your plugs, coils, wires, coil packs, distributor, dist.cap, and rotor. It can be a cam sensor or a crank sensor. Any of these parts can cause the vehicle to not start. They will all need tested. The best way to go about this, if the check engine light is on, is getting error codes of the computer. It might show the problem part.
